GRAY MATTER is the collective creative endeavors of Gray Cooke, both professional and personal, specializing in branding, motion and graphic design.

Gray is an artist and designer bringing experience applying technical and creative abilities to a diverse array of projects. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Gray is a fine arts graduate from The College of William & Mary. Over the course of his career he has used a variety of mediums to create his client’s vision. He strives to combine his love of artistic creation with making a difference and giving back, while consistently pushing himself to continue learning about and exploring new mediums and artistic styles.

Gray has had the pleasure to create graphic and motion design for a range of small businesses and large institutions alike - including Disney, Google, Warner Bros. Studios, Indeed.com, Symetra, Booking.com, The Getty Foundation - as well as high profile clients for his print design work such as Sarah Paulson, Terry Crews, Demi Moore, Elle & Dakota Fanning, Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk, The Caruso Family, and more.

When he's not hunched over his desk working, Gray - an avid adventurer - can be found hiking the Grand Canyon, building houses in the Dominican Republic, setting off fireworks at midnight in Berlin, falling into the canals of Amsterdam, road-tripping on Route 66, snorkeling in Mexico, wandering the streets of London in the rain, watching the Aurora Borealis over Iceland, swimming in the Pacific Ocean at sunrise, or heading off in a direction he hasn't explored yet.

He is the proud fiancé of Blair Bryant Nichols, head of BBN Creative Management, and co-parent to puppos Aspen and Eddy - all of whom will feature prominently in Gray’s upcoming children’s book: “Wake Up, Eddy!”
